SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – A business in San Francisco’s Castro District is cleaning up after its front window was broken overnight. Surveillance camera video caught the moment something hits the window of MX3 Fitness and shatters it.One of the co-owners told KRON4 they’ve looked all over the place and they can’t find a bullet or anything else that would have caused the window to shatter. They say after the pandemic and flooding, this is one more thing that makes it difficult for a small business to survive.Early Tuesday morning, it was all quiet inside MX3 Fitness. But outside, video shows three cars racing down Market Street, followed by a loud popping noise. The front window completely shattered. Co-owner Dave Karraker says he woke up to find dozens of messages. He says he first thought it may have had something to do with the storms, then he saw the video. SF apartment garage break-in caught on video “It seemed to be that they were pursuing each other and there was a third car that...

AL-AZZA REFUGEE CAMP, West Bank (AP) — In schools across the world, children are halfway into their second semester. But in a Palestinian refugee camp south of Jerusalem, kids wake up at 1 p.m. They kick soccer balls, hang out in barbershops and aimlessly scroll through TikTok. They watch television until dawn, just to wake up late and laze around all over again.Palestinian public schools in the West Bank have been closed since Feb. 5 in one of the longest teachers’ strikes in recent memory against the cash-strapped Palestinian Authority. Teachers’ demands for a pay raise have escalated into a protest movement that has vexed the increasingly autocratic Palestinian self-rule government as it plunges deeper into an economic crisis. But the strike isn’t just about money. As the largest group of government employees in the West Bank after security forces, teachers are also calling for a democratically elected union. The authority hasn’t budged, fearing its rivals, like the Islamic ...

BOSTON (AP) — When the Nashville Predators’ team flight took off for Boston, defenseman Ryan McDonagh wasn’t aboard. He stayed home Monday, to be with his three young daughters in the shaken community.A day after a fatal grade school shooting in Nashville left six dead, including three children, McDonagh caught a commercial flight. Hours after arriving, and with both teams wearing helmet stickers to remember the victims, he helped the Predators beat the Bruins 2-1 Tuesday night.“It’s not really the first shooting, unfortunately. When you have kids and it happens close to home it hits definitely different,” McDonagh said. “Like any parent, you do anything you can to help your family and kids out.”McDonagh’s daughters — Falan, Murphy and Nola — are all under 9 years old. “His daughter was close to the school — their school was in lockdown,” coach John Hynes said.Said McDonagh: “Quite frankly there are really no words that you can say after what went on yesterday in Na...
