The number of shootings reported between January and August of 2023 is 30 percent lower than this time in 2022.Calls for service have increased, but leaders said that is a good sign. He spoke with the families Wednesday to offer condolences and let them know the district is ready to offer support.The crash took the lives of three 15-year-old boys.Investigators said it appeared the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve on Groby Road in University City.
